Founding father of R+L Carriers passes; Ralph L. “Larry” Roberts was 77
The founding father of a significant trucking firm based mostly in Ohio died just lately.
Ralph L. “Larry” Roberts, who based what would grow to be R+L Carriers, died March 19 in Ocala, Florida.
Mr. Roberts, identified affectionately as “Senior”, began within the trucking enterprise in 1965 with one truck and a modest warehouse behind the household residence in Wilmington, Ohio. He helped households transfer family items. Over time, the enterprise grew and Mr. Roberts grew to become affiliated with HHG provider Mayflower.
Following the acquisition of a number of different trucking corporations, R+L Carriers stays family-owned and situated in Wilmington, Ohio. It serves all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean Islands with truckload, LTL, and logistics providers.
Mr. Roberts was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Wilmington, Ohio. He married Mary D. Snider on Nov. 2, 1963. That they had three youngsters, seven grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
