Man with out CDL sentenced to jail for tractor trailer cocaine smuggling try

A Texas resident was sentenced to federal jail this week on drug smuggling prices after authorities found half one million {dollars} price of cocaine hid on the tractor trailer he was working.

On April 25, 2023, Baltazar Reyes-Herrera, 28, was sentenced to greater than 8 years (100 months) in jail to be adopted by 4 years of supervised launch, in keeping with the U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace for the Southern District of Texas.

The courtroom later heard proof that Reyes-Herrera was taking 18 bundles of cocaine to Mississippi for cost of $10,000 and bringing the forex again for the sale of the 19.52 kilograms of cocaine.

The estimated road worth of the seized cocaine is $500,000.
