Semi driver cited for ‘following too intently’ after collision with scooter

A Virginia Sheriff says {that a} truck driver was ticketed following a crash {that a} scooter rider who was fortunate to have escaped from with out severe harm.

The crash occurred at 11:13 p.m. on September 18 in Stafford County, Virginia.

Police responded to the 1400 block of Warrenton Street and located a scooter caught to the bumper of a truck.

Each the 2019 Mack Truck and the “2022 Honda Moped” had been touring south when the truck struck the scooter from the rear.

The Stafford County Sheriff (SCTO) mentioned that the scooter driver was “clearly shaken, however believed to be okay.” He was transported to a close-by hospital as a precaution.
