Seventh grader brings bus to a secure cease after driver passes out behind the wheel

A center faculty scholar took heroic motion to convey a faculty bus to a halt when the bus driver misplaced consciousness on the wheel.

The incident occurred April 26, 2023, in Warren, Michigan.

After the varsity bus driver suffered a medical emergency whereas the car was in movement, seventh grade scholar Dillon Reeves seen that one thing was fallacious and acted quick, stepping on the brake and taking management of the steering wheel.

After bringing the bus to a cease, Reeves then directed different college students to name 911.

“The actions of the scholar who helped cease the bus made all of the distinction at this time, and I couldn’t be prouder of his efforts,” mentioned faculty Superintendent Robert D. Livernois.
