15-year Military veteran wins Kenworth in Transition Trucking award
A 15-year Military fight veteran is the winner of this yr’s Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence award.
Ashley Leiva, gained the seventh annual award that’s introduced by FASTPORT and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Basis – Hiring Our Heroes program. The announcement was made Friday on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
Leiva acquired a Kenworth T680 Subsequent Gen truck.

Leiva retired from the Military in 2021 to return to her hometown in Texas, the place she and her brother took over her mom’s trucking enterprise after her latest passing. Ashley’s mom impressed her to enter driving as a result of it made her really feel like she “was on prime of the world.”
