Arson investigation underway following large fireplace at Houston warehouse

Houston fireplace officers are working to find out the reason for a two-alarm fireplace that broken a number of semi trailers and despatched a firefighter to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

The hearth was reported round 4 p.m. on October 5 at a warehouse at 4847 Blaffer in northeast Houston, Texas.

The Houston Fireplace Division (HFD) advised ABC13 that roughly 500 bales of compressed cardboard and 20 trailers had been broken within the warehouse fireplace.

Greater than 100 firefighters and different personnel responded to the two-alarm fireplace.

No worker accidents had been reported, however a firefighter was transported to the hospital for remedy of dehydration and chest pains.

The hearth was extinguished by 8:30 p.m.

“Arson is on scene conducting an investigation,” HFD stated.
