CHP recovers over $500,000 value of stolen Finest Purchase merchandise

A California man was not too long ago arrested in Fresno County in reference to a serious cargo theft sceme.

Round midday on December 1, the California Freeway Patrol’s (CHP) Central Division Organized Retail Crime Activity Power responded to a 911 name relating to suspicious exercise in an unincorporated space of Fresno County.

The caller informed police that they believed a industrial load of products from a semi trailer was being stolen.

When CHP responded to the scene, they “noticed two semi trailer vehicles backed up towards one another cross docked to unload the stolen merchandise.”

Troopers made contact with suspect Jaspreet Singh, 59, of San Fernando Valley, and positioned him underneath arrest.

Singh was booked into the Fresno County Jail on costs of cargo theft.

CHP says that the products had been electronics stolen from retailer Finest Purchase value greater than $500,000.
