IKEA Begins Autonomous Freight Supply – Fleet Administration
The Kodiak self-driving truck has a security truck driver behind the wheel who picks up a loaded trailer at IKEA’s distribution middle every morning and oversees the autonomous supply to an IKEA retailer by late afternoon.

In August, Kodiak Robotics joined IKEA Provide Chain Operations in piloting autonomous freight deliveries in Texas.
The partnership features a Kodiak autonomous heavy-duty truck transporting IKEA merchandise seven days per week between its distribution middle in Baytown and its retailer in Frisco.
The principle function is to get a greater understanding of how Kodiak’s autonomous driving know-how contributes to elevated street security and higher working situations for truck drivers on the longer distances, Kodiak officers mentioned in a press launch.
