Over 500 semis inspected throughout Georgia blitz concentrating on unsafe truckers
The Georgia Division of Public Security (DPS) lately participated in a 3 day enforcement effort meant to curb industrial car crashes.
From November 21 — 23 the Motor Service Compliance Division (MCCD) of the Georgia DPS participated within the SafeDRIVE (Distracted Reckless Impaired Visibility Enforcement) marketing campaign.
The enforcement effort focused CMV visitors on I-20, I-75, I-85, and I-95 for aggressive driving, rushing, following too carefully, failing to put on security belts, distracted driving, and driving below the affect. Police say that the SafeDRIVE enforcement was additionally meant to make sure that CMV drivers obey security laws, together with hours of service compliance, industrial driver’s license compliance, medical certification, and industrial motorcar credentialing.
Throughout the 3 day effort, MCCD Officers inspected 562 industrial motor automobiles, which resulted in visitors 577 violations, putting 43 drivers and 60 CMVs out of service.
