The Senate plans to carry a listening to in November on Kroger Co.’s deliberate $24.6 billion takeover of Albertsons Cos.

Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah), the highest Democrat and Republican on the Senate Judiciary antitrust panel, expressed “critical considerations in regards to the proposed transaction” on Oct. 18 and stated the committee would host a November listening to on the deal.
