Trucker killed in crash in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Friday morning

A trucker was killed in a Friday morning crash in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

The crash occurred shortly earlier than 8 a.m. on September 29.

A semi truck touring on the US 31W Bypass reportedly struck an overhead freeway signal, inflicting the signal to fall into energetic lanes of site visitors.

Native outlet WAVE3 experiences that the truck driver died on the scene.

Nobody else was contained in the semi when the crash occured.

In response to the Elizabethtown Police Division, each northbound and southbound lanes are closed within the space of the WK Parkway.

The crash is underneath investigation.
