Trucker saves toddler wandering onto freeway

A trucker has been honored after saving the lifetime of a wandering toddler on a freeway in Michigan final week. 

Truck driver Dallas Steiger was named a Freeway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Affiliation after pulling over to save lots of a toddler alongside US 31 in Ludington, Michigan. 

In keeping with ABC 12 Information, Steiger was heading north on US 31 when he noticed the kid on the southbound facet of the two-lane freeway strolling very near transferring visitors. 

“It was a toddler standing on the facet of the street — like, his toes had been virtually on the facet of the white line and he had just a little toy lawnmower with him,” Steiger stated.

Steiger then pulled over onto the facet of the street, ran throughout all lanes of visitors, obtained the kid off the street and walked him again up his driveway, which was off of the freeway. Steiger says the boy’s mom was shaken when she realized that he had wandered exterior and almost into the street. She later contacted Steiger’s firm, Fast-Manner Inc., to thank Steiger for appearing to save lots of her son. 

“I might hope that anyone would react identical to that,” Steiger stated.
